Ruud van Keulen was a Management Consultant in the CFO & Enterprise Value practice at Accenture at the time of this interview. Ruud decided to pursue a Master's in Finance for three reasons: to expand his network with like-minded professionals, to deepen his academic knowledge, and to apply new insights in practice. He has since advanced to the role of Senior Manager – Finance & Performance at Deloitte.

Why TIAS

When Ruud was exploring possible options for a Master in Finance, he discovered that the program at TIAS is fairly unique in its kind. “Most programs in this field focus on finance and control. That means they mainly concentrate on the analysis of figures to explain what has happened in the past. My own work is much more centered on future-oriented analyses and investment issues. This matches the focus of TIAS’s Executive Master in Finance.”

Interview

Read in the interview how Ruud learned to understand financial data faster and how to engage in more substantive conversations with clients.
