Introduction
More and more organizations want to create societal value alongside economic value, for example in the areas of nature and the environment, well-being and quality of life, and social cohesion. The question is: how can you do this in a way that is both meaningful to society and healthy for your organization?
In the Sustainability Leadership Program, you gain the knowledge and skills to develop sustainable strategies that fit your organization. You learn how, as a leader, you can give direction to change, how to set up new partnerships, and how to make your societal impact visible.
The Sustainability Leadership Program is a collaboration between TIAS and MVO Nederland, the largest business network in the field of sustainability.
Participant profile
Participants in the Sustainability Leadership Program are managers and C-level professionals from the private and non-profit sectors who are responsible for strategy, operations, finance, innovation, sustainability, or marketing and communications.
You have substantial experience leading an organization, business unit, or program, and you are now tasked with further developing and embedding multiple value creation within your organization. You recognize that innovating toward new sustainable business models, and putting these into practice, can be challenging.

About this program
In the Sustainability Leadership Program, you work with solid academic frameworks in a strongly practice-oriented learning environment. Through lectures, discussions, and assignments, you deepen your view on sustainability, strategy, and leadership. The reality of your own organization is central throughout, and you learn intensively together with other experienced professionals.
Your sustainability challenge as guiding theme
At the start of the program, you describe your organization’s sustainability challenge. This case then forms the guiding thread during all program days. You work on it in the form of a learning log, in which you record new insights, analyses, and decisions. By adding to your learning log after each day, you will have a coherent and well-founded plan at the end of the program to advance your organization’s sustainability agenda.
The program design:
The program consists of six content-driven program days and two peer learning sessions in smaller groups.

Day 3: Business transformation towards sustainability
