Introduction

Healthcare organizations are facing next-level strategic issues that challenge them to do the right things to remain relevant. How do you anticipate the increasing complexity of healthcare issues? How do you move from your mission and vision to putting the relationship with the patient or client at the center? How do you achieve effective network collaboration?

Innovation, including digital innovation, requires strategic choices. In the Advanced Program Strategy and Innovation in Healthcare, you will develop a solid, up-to-date theoretical foundation in healthcare strategies and implementation. From there, you will delve into innovation, network collaboration, and business models based on current supply and demand developments. These current topics in healthcare demand a structural place in the strategy of any organization in the healthcare sector that wants to remain relevant in the future.

Participation in this program means that you will complete one of the four modules of the TIAS Executive Master of Health Administration program in its entirety. You will learn and discuss at the master's level and work together with experienced managers, executives, and professionals from the healthcare sector who are enrolled in the full master's program.

Participant profile

Participants in the Advanced Program Strategy and Innovation in Healthcare want to gain a clearer understanding of strategic choices that strengthen collaboration, innovation, and implementation in healthcare. This quest is enriched by diverse perspectives from science and practice, as well as the experience of participants from all corners of the healthcare sector, from healthcare organizations and health insurers to pharmaceutical companies, suppliers, and governments. It is precisely this diversity that leads to deeper insights and stronger strategic thinking. Program structure

The program has a blended structure, with both online and offline components. The online part consists partly of classroom sessions and partly of independent components that can be followed at a time of your choosing. The offline part comprises three two-day, interactive lecture blocks at TIAS in Utrecht.

This structure creates an optimal learning environment and promotes high learning efficiency. From the joint online kick-off, each participant receives the necessary tools to engage in high-level discussions with each other during the lectures. This leads to valuable insights that help to deal strategically with the current complexity and dynamics.

Time investment and certificate

The program duration is five months: three two-day lecture blocks on location and two months of preparation for assessment. The study load is 12-15 hours per week. Upon successful completion, you will receive a certificate of participation that can ultimately count toward an Executive Master of Health Administration degree, provided you complete all four standalone advanced programs based on the modules of this master's program and complete your graduation assignment.
